The Sports Museum of Los Angeles opened Friday. Take a look and listen.
Years in the making, the Sports Museum of Los Angeles opened Friday–putting the spotlight on one of the best private collections of sports memorabilia in the world.
Other museums rely on donations, but what’s inside this one all belongs to one man. Gary Cypres used his considerable wealth to amass some historic pieces from the world of sports.
Friday was opening day and KPCC, a SoCal public radio station chatted with Cypres about his new venture.
KCAL-TV also stopped by to chat with visitors, although they may not be quite clued into which T206 Honus Wagner card is worth $2.8 million.
