Tom Riccio and Bruce Fromong take the stand in Las Vegas as the bizarre case hits the courtroom.
Two sports memorabilia dealers spent Thursday testifying at a hearing to determine if O.J. Simpson and two co-defendants will face trial on kidnapping, armed robbery and burglary charges. Both say the only one not trying to make a profit on the entire episode was Simpson.
Tom Riccio of Universal Rarities portrayed Simpson as the man who orchestrated the September 13 confrontation at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Riccio said, he and Simpson came up with a plan to meet collector Alfred Beardsley in Las Vegas, then confront him and take back the memorabilia Simpson claims was stolen.
The Associated Press says Bruce Fromong (pictured below) told the court it was a caper that got out of hand in a hurry.
