Three major shows over the weekend brought collectors out to snare autographs and do some shopping.
Michael Irvin, who underwent a throat biopsy last week, came to Chantilly, VA with former teammates Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith to sign autographs at the CSA Show. The trio signed autographs and posed for pictures not long after Irvin learned the biopsy came back clean, despite his cancer fears. Irvin lost his father to throat cancer at age 51.
Also among those on hand was Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who recently sold the bulk of his sports memorabilia collection through Goldin Auctions…
…and Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss.
Mike Tyson, Emmitt Smith, Stefon Diggs and Amari Cooper were just a few of the other signers.
Smith took time to open a a 1977 Topps football pack and a complete set of 1990 Score Supplemental football, which contained his rookie card. He signed the card at the Vintage Breaks booth and it was given away to a customer.

Attendance for the Ohio Sports Collectors Convention was strong with Friday’s paid crowd setting a new record. New Browns coach Freddie Kitchens was among a small group of autograph signers for the show, which is known for its emphasis on vintage cards and memorabilia.
It was announced that Lelands, which had co-sponsored the Strongsville show with Fusco Auctions for the last several years, will take over promotion beginning with next year’s event.
Patrick Mahomes was one of the star attractions at the GTSM show at the New Jersey Expo and Convention Center.
Drew Brees, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Dan Marino, LaDainian Tomlinson, Warren Moon, Bo Jackson, Troy Aikman, Kirk Cousins, Archie Manning, Terry Bradshaw, Kurt Warner, Sam Darnold, Marcus Allen, Ryan Tannehill, Doug Flutie, Vinny Testaverde, Mike Ditka and Joe Namath were just a few of the other well-known names on hand.
