A couple of popular baseball releases, some higher end basketball and in a year devoid of minor league baseball we’ll still get minor league-oriented card set. The last half of September offers several new products to rip as you enjoy a full plate of pro sports on TV.
Here’s a look at what’s coming from September 16-October 1. As always, the dates are subject to last minute changes.

2020 Topps Allen & Ginter
Back for another year as a staple on the baseball release calendar, 2020 Allen & Ginter is the usual quirky mix of sports, science, pop culture, media and nature (just for starters). It’ll be available in retail blaster boxes and fat packs but hobby boxes will contain 24 packs with three hits (autographs, memorabilia cards, relic cards, buybacks or rip cards).
Boxes are online now for around $135.

2019-20 Panini Opulence Basketball
Another high-end basketball release, Opulence has one pack per box and seven cards per pack, which is one less card per box than the 2018-2019 product. However, each pack will contain one booklet, five autographs or relic cards and one base card. Each case will have two boxes.
Hobby boxes are on eBay for around $2,500. The First Off The Line version released earlier this month and those are noticeably higher.

2020 Bowman Chrome Baseball
Topps will again offer two configurations of 2020 Bowman Chrome(there are sell sheets and a checklist in the link): a traditional box with 12 packs (two six-pack mini boxes) and an all autograph HTA Choice edition that offers nothing but three signed cards per box. Prospect Autographs of potential stars are the big hits that will wind up selling for big bucks down the road.
The checklist is in the link You can check box prices for both Hobby and Jumbo on eBay here.

Boxes are being offered online for around $90.
