It’s a relatively light last couple of weeks for new releases, but there are a couple of higher end products, a long running baseball issue and other NBA and NFL boxes hitting the market.1/18
2021-22 Panini Immaculate Basketball
Immaculate makes its belated arrival after being delayed by a couple of months. The higher end release keeps much the same formula collectors have come to expect.
Just as the 2020-21 issue, Immaculate offers a single pack with six cards highlighted by three autographs and two memorabilia cards.
In addition to the standards jersey swatches and patches, you can find cards using sneaker soles and laces, brand logos and other memorabilia.

2022 Panini Impeccable Football
Panini is promising “more Hall of Fame autographs” in the 2022 edition of Impeccable.
Hobby boxes will hold eight cards in a single pack format, typically with 5-6 autographs and 2-3 base and/or parallels per box.
New autograph subsets include Impeccable HOF Autographs, Immortal Ink, Impeccable Stars Signatures, and Illustrious Ink.
Rookie content can be found in Rookie Patch Autographs, Rookie Landscape and, new this year are Elegance Rookie Helmet and Cleat Autographs.
Boxes are currently running in the $1,000-$1,300 range.
2022 Panini Flawless Baseball
Yes, it’s a busy Jan. 18 for Panini. Their third higher end release of the day is the ’22 edition of Flawless Baseball.
Hobby boxes contain ten cards per pack and one pack per box. An average box will have seven autos, two memorabilia cards and one gem card. New base card parallels include dual gems, USA Gem Signatures and 1-of-1 jumbo Batting Glove Brand Logos.
Player specific multi-gem cards featuring Shohei Ohtani’s MVP, Tony Gwynn hitting .394 in 1994 and Home Run King Aaron Judge (see the above 1/1) are among the highlights mentioned by Panini in their product info.
Returning are Bat Knobs, Bat Nameplates, Cleat Spikes and 1-of-1 cut signatures featuring – Ruth, Cobb, Wagner and other greats from long ago.
Boxes can be had for about $1,750 right now.

2022 Topps Finest Baseball
Finest ‘master boxes’ are broken into two mini-boxes, with six packs per mini. There are five cards per pack, and Topps is promising one autograph per mini-box.
There will be 100 cards in the 2022 Finest base set and a 25 Extended Series short prints.
The base set will also include a Finest Rookies Design variation, falling in every other hobby box. There will be autographed versions of those.
There are a few new inserts including 1994 Topps Cornerstones borrows from the 1994-1995 Finest basketball insert design (see above).

2022 Panini Illusions Football
Illusions Football boxes will offer three autographs, two memorabilia cards, five parallels and ten acetate or micro-etch inserts/parallels per box.
Printed on acetate stock, inserts include King of Cards, Mystique, Illusionists and the all-new Funkadelic. All will have autographed parallels.
Found only in Hobby boxes are Rookie Endorsements. More rookie autograph content can be found in First Impressions Autographed Memorabilia.
Back for 2022, the HoloHeroes case hits are produced using hologram technology.
The current best box price is around $400.
2021/22 Panini Mosaic Basketball
Pushed waaay back from its original release date, last season’s version of Mosaic appears to be finally ready for launch.
Hobby boxes will hold ten packs with 15 cards per pack. A typical box will have one auto, 20 Prizms and 20 inserts. Mosaic will have piles of parallels to look for.
Hobby boxes include one autograph from either Autographs Mosaic or Rookie Autographs Mosaic. Look for randomly inserted Gold (#’d/10) and Black (1-of-1) Parallels which are exclusive to Hobby boxes.
New this year are rare Translucence and Rookie Eruptions inserts.
Boxes are selling for between $430 and $450.
