Some of the new season’s first NFL releases are about to arrive, along with some fresh baseball, basketball, soccer and F1 products.
Here’s a look at what’s coming (as always, subject to change):
8/31
2022 Panini Luminance Football
Luminance is the brand noted for 1) arriving early in the football card calendar and 2) full-bleed action photos.
Each four pack Hobby box of Luminance contains 10 cards per pack. Panini says boxes will contain three autographs, one memorabilia card, five parallels, four inserts and 12 rookie cards on average.
Look for rookie on-card autographs in Year One Signatures, with parallels: Red Ink, Green Ink and Purple Ink.
New inserts that will be among the tougher pulls are Dynamic, Vestige, Fuzion, and Sheesh.
Boxes are available for around $250.
2020-21 Upper Deck Clear Cut Hockey
Yes, this product is dated 2020-21. Now that’s a delay.
Clear Cut offers a single signed card on acetate stock tucked inside a one touch holder. All cards are numbered to 65 or less.
The 2003-04 Upper Deck Exquisite Basketball auto patch design returns in a new subset inside ’21-22 Clear Cut. They’ll include both rookies and veterans with 1-of-1 Gold parallel of each possible.
Boxes have been selling in the $175-$200 range.

2021-22 Donruss Optic Basketball
2021-22 Donruss Optic boxes carry 20 packs with four cards per pack. A typical box will have one autograph and 20 inserts/parallels.
The base set is 200 cards. Hobby boxes will have exclusive parallels including Photon, Orange (#’d/199), Lime Green (#’d/149), Red (#’d/99), Pink Velocity (#’d/79), Blue (#’d/59), Black Velocity (#’d/39), Gold (#’d/10), Green (#’d/5) and one of one Gold Vinyl.

2022 Topps Museum Baseball
2022 Museum offers a mix of autographs, relics and base/parallel cards.
Hobby boxes are broken down into four mini-boxes, with five cards per mini. Collectors can expect to pull three base cards, one base parallel, and one hit from each mini box. The hits in each hobby box will include one on-card autograph, one relic, an autographed relic and a quad relic.
New to the signature cards in the Museum Collection will be Framed Hall of Fame Autographs, numbered to 10 or less.
Boxes are running about $250 online.

2022-23 Upper Deck MVP Hockey
A lower cost, pre-season release, Upper Deck MVP is geared toward collectors who don’t have to have autographs in their packs.
Each box (about $70) has 20 packs with eight cards per pack.
There’s a 250-card base set (#201-250 are SPs) and plenty of inserts and chase elements here including 2022 Draft Pick Redemptions that are found once in every 1,250 packs.

2022 Donruss Elite Football
2022 Donruss Elite boxes offer the first cards of rookies in their NFL uniforms and their first on-card autographs.
Boxes will contain 20 packs with five cards per pack. A typical box will have two autographed cards, one memorabilia card, three rookies, six parallels and 11 inserts.
The autograph lineup starts with the long running Pen Pals line. Standard versions will be signed in black but there will be blue, purple, green and red ink versions, too.
9/9 (update: new release date is 9/14)
2021-22 Topps UEFA Champions League Merlin Chrome Soccer
This shiny one covers players in the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference.
Each box of Merlin Chrome Soccer has 18 packs with four cards per pack.
Each Hobby box should have one autograph, six inserts and six Refractors.

2022 Topps Formula One Racing
The Topps flagship F1 product, 2022 Topps Formula One Racing boxes will carry 20 packs, with eight cards to a pack–that’s two more packs than last year.
There’s a 200-card base set with plenty of parallels to chase. Relics fall every other box but there are no autographs in the product. Look for five new inserts.
Another new element to this year’s set are Art du Grand Prix Post Card box toppers. There are five subjects, which have a larger view of five featured tracks on the F1 circuit. The card packs will look like the backs of postcards.
