The last Friday before the Labor Day weekend bring a big stack of fresh product to the market.
Here’s a look at what’s set for release from now through the first days of September.
8/30
2024 Topps Pristine Baseball
From our preview earlier in the month, “Pristine is a different sort of higher end product. Each Hobby box contains six “tri-packs,” which are essentially two packs inside an outer pack. There are ten cards per tri-pack for a total of 60 cards per box.”
You’ll get two on-card autographs plus an autographed relic card, five inserts and ten base Refractors in a box. The design essentially cuts out an action image of the player and puts it against an abstract background. insert designs are colorful.
You can check current eBay box pricing here.
2024 Topps Baseball Factory Sets
A yearly staple that’s popular with those who don’t give a rip about parallels, inserts or autographs, the Factory Set contains all cards from Series 1 and 2, but they do also come with a bonus.
The Hobby Edition Complete Set also contains a five-card pack of exclusive sequentially numbered foilboard parallel cards.
The Retail Edition Complete Set also contains an exclusive five-card pack of photo variation rookie cards.
Topps is offering them via this page.
There was also an All-Star edition that was released last month in Texas.
2023 Topps Composite Football
The first comprehensive traditional Topps football product since the company lost its NFL trading card license after the 2015 season, Composite offers CJ Stroud rookie cards and autographs under the Topps brand, along with a few other players who are exclusive to Fanatics.
The checklist will also have a large number of former players. Fanatics still doesn’t have an NFL license so the design team had to get creative with the images.
Hobby boxes have 12 packs with eight cards per pack. Megas boxes (three parallels, two refractors, and two exclusive Foilboard inserts) are also in the mix. You can check out pricing on all three versions via eBay sellers here.
2023 Panini Select Football
Yes, August 30 is like Christmas for those who like to rip brand new products.
This one was pushed back a couple of days, so here it is again. 2023 Select brings the shiny once again with two autographs and one memorabilia card per Hobby box. And yes, the Hobby version is arriving after the retail product.
Hobby boxes will have 12 packs with five cards per pack.
The rest of a typical box will have 15 Prizm parallels, six inserts and two of the tougher Field Level base cards.

2024 Score Football (delayed until 9/11)
Traditionally among the first products of the new football season, Score is back with its fat packs:
- 40 cards per pack.
- 10 packs per box.
Hobby boxes hold four autographs, 90 rookie cards, 10 parallels, and 36 inserts per box on average. Since it’s out so early, don’t look for rookies in their NFL uniforms, but do look for a 400-card base set that includes 100 rookie cards.
Hobby boxes are around $300 but there’s also a Retail version with more traditional packs at a lower price and blaster boxes as well. You can see them al here.
Also set for release on 9/4: 2023-24 Panini Select FIFA Soccer.

2023-24 Upper Deck Ice Hockey

Among the attractions are the Ice Premieres cards that come on acetate stock and in various tiers, numbered between 99 and 999 and Exquisite Collection that include autographs and patches.
