This week’s news regarding the NFLPA’s move to end its contract with the league’s lone trading card maker is complicating things for those who sell future releases, but for now it appears not much has changed for Panini America. The company released one 2023 product on Wednesday and has more in the pipeline between now and early next month. It’s hard to imagine a regular season without football cards to open but for now, at least, there’s nothing to indicate that’s going to be the case.
Meanwhile other products are flowing into the market, too. Here’s a look at what’s just arrived and what’s coming from now through early September.

Panini’s Luminance Football was already making its way to hobby shops and online retailers when the NFLPA told agents it was dumping the company so it’s not a surprise it’s actually available.
The rectangular Hobby boxes offer ten packs with four cards per pack. A typical box will have three autographs, one memorabilia card, five parallels, four inserts and 12 rookies per box.
Full-bleed action photography is one of the brand’s calling cards. Boxes are selling for $300-$350.
2023 Topps Pristine Baseball
Back for a second year after it came out of hibernation, 2023 Pristine is printed on chromium stock. Boxes have six packs with ten cards per back. Look for two autographs and one autographed relic card per box along with ten base card Refractors and five inserts.
The base set is 300 cards in size.
Boxes are hovering right around $400.
2022-23 Upper Deck Black Diamond Hockey
Black Diamond is a high-end product and the first ’22/23 product to feature an extensive selection of premium autograph and memorabilia cards for last season’s rookie class. Each box offers an autograph or non-autographed Diamond Relic, a base set or base parallel, an Exquisite Collection card and three other cards.
Boxes are available for around $270.

2023 Topps Cosmic Chrome Baseball
Cosmic Chrome Baseball makes its return with “a galactic spin on chrome technology,” according to Topps.
There will be 20 packs per box and four cards per pack with current pricing at just below $400. Nucleus Refractors will be packed one per box. There’s a 200-card base set.
New for 2023 is the Planetary Pursuit insert chase. Topps says it’s a chase element, with “increasingly difficult planet variations base on distance from the sun.”
Space, baby.
2022 Panini Encased Football
One of the last two products on Panini’s 2022 NFL calendar, Encased is a higher end product that draws its name from the encased autograph that’s part of each five-card pack. Typical boxes will have an additional auto along with two memorabilia cards and one parallel at a current price of over $600 per box.
New on-card autograph subsets include Milestone Marks and Century Signatures.

2023 Donruss Elite Football
Elite boxes will hold 20 packs with five cards per pack. The breakdown will include two signed cards, one memorabilia card, three rookie cards, six parallels and 11 inserts.
Elite will offer the first rookie cards of players in their NFL uniforms and the first on-card autographs with the Pen Pals insert.
Boxes are going for around $275 online.
2022-23 Panini Mosaic Basketball
Late arriving Mosaic brings ten packs per Hobby box with 15 cards per pack. Boxes will have one auto, 20 prizms and 20 inserts.
New autograph subsets include Pictographs Mosaic and Collage Mosaic.
Mosaic is usually available in multiple configurations with exclusive content in each and that holds true for Hobby boxes, which are selling for around $350 on the low end.

2022-23 Panini Spectra Basketball
If you like pulling autographs, Spectra is one of the more signature dense products of the year. Boxes have four packs with four cards per back and you’ll have four autos before you’re done ripping. In addition to the auto, each pack will have one parallel card.
Rookie Patch Autographs will have these lower numbered parallels: Celestial (#’d/99), Supernova (#’d/75), Interstellar (#’d/49), Astral (#’d/35), Meta (#’d/25), Gold (#’d/10), Marble (#’d/5) and the 1/1 Nebula Logoman. Color Blast inserts–among the hobby’s most popular chase programs–are found in Spectra as well.

2023 Panini Immaculate Baseball
High-end Immaculate is packed in a tin with a single, six-card pack offering four autographed cards and two memorabilia cards.
Look for eight different on-card autograph subsets that feature shadowboxes, autographed material, triple material autographs and other concepts.
Jumbo Material returns with game-used swatches from top 100 baseball products.
The current best eBay price right now is hovering around $475 per box. There’s also a First Off the Line version with exclusive content that runs higher.
