There’s no shortage of ripping options for collectors in the next couple of weeks. Here’s a look at new arrivals and what’s currently scheduled to land at your local hobby shop, online retailer or favorite breaker.

2023-24 Panini Obsidian Basketball
Pushed back a couple of weeks, Obsidian lands with its usual array of shininess. The one pack box holds seven cards: two autographs, one memorabilia card, two inserts or parallels and two base cards.
Short-printed insert sets include Vitreous and Volcanix and Panini says to look for “brand new randomly inserted Black Color Blast super short-printed” inserts.
A First Off the Line version, with exclusive content has also been produced.

2023-24 Upper Deck Synergy Hockey
With the Stanley Cup Finals set to open, the timing is right for a fresh hockey product to hit the market. Synergy is big on inserts and there are plenty of them. The base set consists of 125 cards but they’re not all easy to pull. Autographs are possible but not guaranteed in each box, which holds eight packs of three cards.
At around $125 online, Synergy is among the year’s lowest cost NHL releases.
2024 Bowman Sapphire Baseball
Topps released the latest Sapphire product online Wednesday. boxes have eight packs with four cards per pack. Each box has three colored parallels and one guaranteed autograph.
Boxes sold out in less than ten minutes Wednesday but you can see what’s listed on eBay here.

2024 Topps Series 2 Baseball
The second of the annual flagship baseball trilogy arrives with Series 2. That means 350 more base cards, including some MLB newcomers and rookies.
We’ve got a story with all of the details on what to expect as well as the newly released checklist here. Once again, Hobby, Blaster and Display boxes are all available at various price points.

2023-24 Donruss Optic Basketball
20 packs with four cards per pack are what you’ll find in Optic Hobby boxes. One card will carry an autograph and 20 others will be inserts or parallels.
New inserts include Rising Suns and Red Hot Rookies and the short printed Slammy! and Alter ego, which can also be found in the Hobby-exclusive Gold (#’d/10) parallel.
Hobby boxes are around $550 but there’s an FOTL version as well as Mega and Blaster boxes.
