Basketball takes a back seat but there are several other sports card products set to release between now and early July. Here’s a quick roundup of what’s here and what’s coming:

2021 Panini Flawless Football
The highest of the high-end NFL releases arrives more than four months after the season but for those who like on-card autographs and the potential of a huge hit, that doesn’t matter.
A hobby box of 2021 Flawless contains 10 cards–six that are autographed–and all cards are numbered to 25 or less. A couple of memorabilia and gems complete the contents.
Boxes are trending in the $8,900 area on eBay.
2021-22 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey
Series 2 arrives fashionably later than usual, with the second part of the NHL’s flagship release offering the usual configuration across multiple types of packaging.
Upper Deck typically prints plenty, with the annual chase for Young Guns always driving plenty of traffic. The checklist for Series 2 is out now, too, so you know exactly what else is out there. Download it here.
Hobby boxes are out now with the going rate at about $115-$120 US. Blaster boxes arrive later this month.

2021 Panini Contenders Optic Football
Putting the shimmering spin on standard Contenders, 2021 Optic NFL offers six cards per pack with one pack per box. The usual box will have two autographs, one parallel, one insert and two base cards.
Word is that the rookie content has increased this year. The lowest box price right now is $640.

2022 Topps Definitive Baseball
Topps answers Flawless Football with its own high-end release this month as Definitive makes its return.
The one pack boxes have eight cards–all hits including six autographs or autograph relics. Every card in the product is numbered to 50 or less.
The checklist isn’t out quite yet, but it’ll be interesting to see what’s on it.

2022 Panini Select Baseball
Each box of Select will have 12 packs of five cards with typical content looking something like this:
- 2 Autograph Cards
- 2 Memorabilia Cards
- 3 #’d Prizms
- 5 Inserts
The base set is 300 cards. Autograph and memorabilia hits from this year’s rookie class will be found in Rookie Jumbo Swatch, Horizontal Rookie Jumbo Swatch and Rookie Jersey Autographs.
Boxes are online for around $165.
2022 Topps Baseball Factory Sets (Update: now delayed until July TBD)
As we chronicled earlier this week, the annual Topps Factory Set arrives with all of the cards from Series 1 and 2 in a special box along with a five-card pack of foilboard parallels. There will be a Retail version, too, with rookie image variations.
The Hobby Factory Sets are online now for $60.
2021-22 Upper Deck SP Authentic Hockey
Boxes of SP Authentic will carry 18 packs of five cards and break out something like this:
- 1 Future Watch/FW Retro Autograph plus an additional autograph
- At least 1 Spectrum FX Bounty Card
- 3 Limited Base Red Parallels
- 6 total cards from among: Base Celebrated Moments, True Leaders AND/OR SP Top Performers
