Football season may be a couple of months in the rearview mirror but there are multiple 2021 trading card products set for release as the ’22 NFL Draft approaches. Here’s a roundup of what’s coming to breakers, hobby shops and online dealers:

2021 Clearly Donruss Football
If you liked the standard Donruss product but want a version that’s a little more high-end, 2021 Clearly Donruss is for you. Each box will contain four packs with five cards per pack with one autograph, two parallels, one insert and eight Rated Rookie cards joining eight base cards.
Boxes are selling online for around $340.

2021-22 Panini Prizm Draft Picks Basketball
It’s a little late this year, but any Prizm branded product usually draws some interest. A typical box of Draft Picks Basketball will carry four autographs, four inserts, four Silver cards and eight parallels. Color Blast and Stained-Glass inserts will be among the big cards here.
At its current lowest online price, this one offers some decent bang for the buck.

2021-22 Panini Contenders Basketball
One of Panini’s signature brands arrives with Contenders, a staple of the release calendar since it came over from football 12 years ago.
Hobby boxes of 2021-22 NBA Contenders will contain 12 packs with ten cards per pack. An average box will yield two autographs, two parallels and two inserts or insert parallels.
Boxes are on eBay now starting at around $500.
2021 Panini Encased Football
2021 Encased Football packs a card that’s already been graded by Beckett in each box. There’s a second, non-encapsulated autograph, two memorabilia cards and a base card in each box.
It’s a higher end product with BGS graded autograph cards coming from subsets like Reserve Signatures, Superscribe Signatures, Legendary Signatures, Rookie Endorsements, Rookie Dual Swatch Signatures, Scripted Signatures, HOF Material Signatures and others.
Look for boxes to run $900-$1,000 online.

2021 Panini Phoenix Football
Phoenix rounds out the trio of NFL releases for the first two weeks of April. Each box has 12 packs with five cards per pack. An average box should yield two autos, one memorabilia card, nine numbered parallels, nine inserts and 12 rookies.
New in 2021 look for the Mythical Autograph Materials as well as the short-printed Volcanic insert
Look for boxes in the $475-$500 range.
