After a quiet stretch, the supply line of new sports card releases revs up again in the first half of March, with a wide variety of products from every major sport set to arrive.
Here’s a quick rundown of what to look for:

2020-21 Donruss Basketball
Hobby boxes of Donruss basketball fat packs should contain ten packs including an average of one autograph, one memorabilia card and 60 inserts and parallels, in addition to over 230 base cards.
This used to be an easy, relatively inexpensive score but right now, a hobby box of 2020-21 Donruss is running about $1,000 on eBay.
2020 Panini Plates and Patches Football
A pretty straightforward product, P&P has one five card pack that includes:
-1 Autograph Or Patch Autograph card
– 1 Memorabilia card
– 1 Parallel card (#’d/60 Or Less)
– 1 Printing Plate card
– 1 Base card
Hobby boxes are currently sitting at around $370.
2019-20 Upper Deck Clear Cut Hockey
Originally slated for release last fall, the 2019-20 edition of Clear Cut arrives better late than never. It’s a one card per pack product. Every card is a hard-signed autograph card delivered in a sealed one-touch holder.
Look for boxes to land at around $140.

2020-21 Panini Revolution Basketball
Revolution hobby boxes will contain eight packs with five cards in each. Each box should have four rookies, four inserts and eight parallels. Autographs aren’t guaranteed, but they’ll be included in the checklist.
Boxes are available online in the $400-$450 range.
2020-21 Upper Deck Black Diamond Hockey
Black Diamond offers one pack of six premium cards including an Exquisite Collection chase card. Black Diamond is the first high-end product of the 2020-21 hockey season and is the first product of the year to feature an extensive selection of premium autograph and memorabilia cards for the 2020-21 rookie class.
Diamond Relic Rookies are among the big hits with each card of top prospects featuring one to four diamonds. The better the prospect, the more diamonds the card will feature.
2020-21 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey
Each hobby box of Series 2 will have 24 packs of eight cards. Expect six of the ever popular Young Guns, along with four Canvas, four Portraits Rookies and four OPC Update rookies.

2020 Panini One Football
Each pack of One is literally that–one. It’s a single autographed or auto relic enclosed in a one-touch holder that’s sealed with a security sticker. All autographs in 2020 Panini One are signed on card and include a checklist of NFL rookies, current stars and former greats.
Panini One boxes are on eBay for a little under $600.

2021 Topps Opening Day
If high prices bum you out, Opening Day is here to offer a sympathetic shoulder. It’s a kid-oriented product but a lot of adults like it too and as one of the few truly low cost products left, it’s likely to be popular.
Each box has 36 packs with seven cards in each pack. Autographs aren’t guaranteed at the current price of less than $40 per box in some places.
Look for fun inserts including some featuring past greats, mascots, a look at Opening Day 2020 and more.
2021 Topps Inception Baseball
Another one pack box, 2021 Inception offers seven cards including one autograph or auto relic; two base parallels and four base cards. Inception Autograph Patch Cards will include player-worn uniform patches together with an autograph.
Boxes are on pre-sale now at $145-$150.
