The national crisis hasn’t slowed the new release calendar yet. Despite a lack of actual competition, collectors will have a chance to open some fresh releases as March heads toward a close.
Here’s a look at what to look for

Panini America USA Baseball Rack Set: This little nugget is pretty hard to beat. For the third year in a row, USA Baseball has partnered with Panini for a full set of cards that includes three autographs at a price just about everyone can afford.
The 2020 USA Baseball Rack Set includes 70 base cards featuring the players on the 2019 USA Baseball Collegiate, 18U and 15U National Teams. Each rack set also includes three autograph cards numbered to 150 from the 2019 national teams, at a price of $14.99.
These feature the earliest baseball cards from over 30 of MLB.com’s top 100 projected 2020 Draft Picks.

2020 Topps Inception Baseball: This artistic-style release is a one pack box offering seven cards, one of which will be either a standard autograph or auto relic. Two others will be base card parallels.
The 100-card base set will have gold fonts with color splotches set against a white background. New this year are Dawn of Greatness Autographs, which show off the “beginnings of some of the most legendary careers in MLB history,” according to Topps. They’ll be numbered to 20 or less.
Boxes are on eBay for $65-70.

2020 Topps Gypsy Queen Baseball: This release was set to arrive at the start of the MLB regular season. Ah, well. A staple of the Topps calendar, GQ will again contain 24 packs with eight cards per pack and ten boxes per case.
There’s a 300 card base set plus 20 SPs. Each box will have two autographs and one Chrome Box Topper. Lineup Card Relics are part of the memorabilia card roster.
Boxes are on eBay for around $110.

2020 Panini Prizm Collegiate Draft Picks Football: It’s Draft Pick product season and Panini brings its Prizm line to the category again with a box that runs about $200 and includes five autographs and ten parallels among the 40 cards per box (five packs). There will also be a First Off the Line edition.
In addition to 50 of the projected top picks in this year’s draft, it’ll include some NFL standouts in their college threads. Look for autograph pairings that feature top draft picks and others that feature current players in College Ties Autographs.
2019 Panini National Treasures Football: This is the product many rookie card buyers await. Historically, the high-end brand has a big following.
Each one pack box (around $600) will contain eight cards with four boxes per case. Each box should contain three autographs, three memorabilia cards and two from a 100-card base set, a base parallel or an insert. Panini is also promising that most boxes will over-deliver in the quantity of hits.
Boxes are currently on eBay for $1,000-$1,500.
