Some of the last baseball cards of the 2022 season, the first of ’23, postseason football and mid-year hockey products are in the pipeline during the first half of February.
Here’s a roundup of what’s currently expected to arrive.

2022 Topps Gilded Collection Baseball
A new product, Gilded Collection was delayed a bit but now makes its arrival.
Every hobby box of this higher-end product will contain one pack with five cards — three chrome-etched Chrome base cards, one Gold Framed Autograph and one Gold Etch Chrome Rookie Autograph.
The base set has 150 current and former players on a gold-colored, chrome-like stock.
Hobby boxes are on eBay for $400.
2022 Panini Zenith Football
Zenith starts with a big base set–242 cards including rookies, veterans and 42 rookie patch autographs.
Boxes (currently around $290 online) consist of a single, six-card pack that has one RPA plus another autograph, two inserts, a base card and a rookie card.

Panini Prizm Collegiate Draft Picks Baseball
Focused on last year’s MLB draft picks, this iteration of Prizm has a 220-card base set with a variety of inserts including the short printed Color Blast and Lava Flow subsets. Big Man on Campus is a new insert.
The base set will have a large number of parallels and boxes will have at least three that are serial numbered.
Each Hobby box will have five autographed cards with 1/1 Gold Vinyl among the big hits. The total outlay will look like this:

Boxes are currently available for around $120 on eBay.

2022 Panini Immaculate UFC (update: delayed until 2/16)
Boxes contain a single six-card pack with three autos and two memorabilia cards, on average.
Look for plenty of on-card autographs and fight or workout-worn memorabilia in this higher end UFC release,
Boxes are currently running about $440 online.

2023 Topps Series 1 Baseball
It may not seem like baseball season for most of the country, but as always, Topps delivers the first sign that green grass and warmer weather are coming.
Once again, Topps will offer both Hobby and Jumbo boxes of S1 along with the array of smaller configurations you can find in a lot of places like the blaster shown above.
Hobby boxes will have 24 packs with 14 cards per pack and one autograph or relic card. Silver Packs are back and packed into each box with veterans, rookies and retired greats printed on chrome technology. Jumbos have ten 46-card packs and guarantee one autograph, one relic card and one manufactured relic.

2022-23 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey (Update: Now delayed until late March/early April)
The second half of the NHL’s flagship hockey card product arrives with the usual Hobby configuration of 24 packs and eight cards per pack. There are 200 more base cards and 50 Young Guns. There are a few other configurations, too, including Blasters.
Here’s what a typical box will surrender six Young guns along with:
- Honor Roll – 2 cards
- Canvas – 4
- Portraits – 4
- Additional Inserts – 6
- French Parallels – 1
2022 Bowman Chrome University Football
As we reported last week, Bowman Chrome University will break some ground as the product offers cards of some current college athletes with the school logos on them.
2022 University will carry 24 packs of four cards with a typical box containing two autographs. The base set will be 100 cards with a variety of inserts along for the ride.
Boxes are available for $135.
2022 Donruss Football
It’s kind of late for one of the flagship releases of the season to be arriving after the season but at least the Super Bowl will still be fresh in the minds of collectors when 2022 Donruss Football arrives.
Panini has expanded the base set from 350 cards to 400 this year. Look for at least one autograph and one memorabilia card per hobby box. There will also be 18 Rated Rookie cards in most boxes, along with 12 parallels and 42 inserts.
A hobby box (currently running about $270 online) will have 18 packs, with 10 cards to a pack.

2/17
2022-23 Panini Prizm College Draft Picks Basketball
This season’s rookie class is at the heart of Prizm DP. Boxes will have ten cards per pack with four packs per box.
Boxes contain a respectable four autographs along with four rated prospect or rookie variations, four base silvers, eight base parallels and four inserts.
The 1/1 Draft Picks Autographs Prizm Black will be among the big scores with this one.
Boxes are currently priced at a relatively modest $175-$185 on eBay.
