Baseball season may be over but the products continue. A couple of them are on the docket in the first part of November, along with football and basketball releases.
Here’s a roundup of some of the boxes you’ll see online and in your local shop.
11/4 Topps Dynasty Baseball
One box, one encased card. Dynasty is a simple product for those who just like high-end autographs and relics.
Topps uses game-used uniform patch pieces, pieces of game-used baseballs from special MLB events and batting gloves; all signed directly on-card for this one. You’ll get either an Autographed Relic Card, Cut Signature, or Dual Autograph.
Topps released the checklist for Dynasty late last week and it’s heavy on Hall of Famers, stars and rookies. There’s a Babe Ruth dual relic cut signature hiding in one of the $400-$500 boxes.
11/4 2019-20 Clearly Donruss Basketball
If you couldn’t get enough Donruss or Donruss Optic, Panini tosses out a third itineration of the brand with “Clearly.” That’s a nod to the acetate stock the new product will hang its hat on.
Boxes don’t promise an autograph, but they will be possible. Each box will have four packs with five cards per pack. The checklist is now out and added to our preview here.
11/4 Panini National Treasures Baseball
MLBPA licensed Panini trots out one of its high-end baseball products with NT. Each one pack box holds eight autograph or memorabilia cards. Highlights include on-card Rookie Material Signatures from this year’s star rookies, the return of oversized, super prime pieces of memorabilia in Cleats, Nameplates, Bat Barrels, and ID Tags. There’s one booklet card per box, too.
Boxes are on eBay for around $530-$550 right now.
11/6 Panini Prizm Draft Picks Basketball
No draft yet, but we do get a college-oriented basketball product with the popular Prizm brand. Players will be featured in their college uniforms or for potential draft picks who didn’t play college hoops, it’ll be a generic photo. Each hobby box of 2020-21 Prizm Draft will have eight packs, with five cards in each. Most boxes will have five autographs, ten parallels and five Silver Prizms. The popular Color Blast inserts will be in the mix.
First Off The Line boxes, with some exclusive content, are already out and priced around $400.
11/6 2020 Topps Update Baseball
The third part of the annual Topps flagship trilogy arrives a couple of weeks after the end of the shortened season.
Hobby boxes of Update will contain 24 packs with 14 cards per pack. Each box will have one autograph or relic card along with one Silver Pack. Hobby boxes are available for around $120.
Jumbo boxes will have 10 packs of 46 cards with one guaranteed autograph and two relic cards along with two promo packs. Jumbos are around $225 on eBay.
11-11 2020 Panini Illusions Football
Illusions offers ten pack hobby boxes with five cards per pack. Look for one encased autograph, two additional autos, two memorabilia cards, five parallels and ten Acetate parallels/inserts per box.
Boxes are on eBay for $350-$380.
