It’s a mini sitcom for the internet.
When he bought the company last year, Michael Eisner vowed to take Topps into some uncharted territory.
The former Disney CEO thought the company’s brand was strong enough to support new ventures like TV shows. The networks haven’t bitten yet, but Topps is debuting a new series for its own website starring the Sklar Brothers, former hosts of ESPN’s Cheap Seats.
"Back on Topps" is a comedy with each episode running just a few minutes. The Sklars star as Leif and Leyland Topps, heirs to the sports card kingdom.
The first ‘webisode’ will debut shortly, but the always-snarky Deadspin gives us a sneak peek.
