His quest for the Tour de France continues as a fundraising auction featuring some memorabilia from one of sports’ more desirable autographs pedals toward the finish.
Lance Armstrong’s fight against the cancer that nearly killed him continues with an auction aimed at helping beat the disease.
Armstrong’s autograph is one of the more challenging to obtain.
Thirteen signed and unsigned items are available for bid or immediate sale at BiddingforGood.
A certificate of authenticity is included with each piece. A portion of the proceeds also help bike safety education.
Autographed Armstrong Items include:
· A signed, limited-edition 2003 Trek Madone Bicycle (a replica of the bike ridden by Armstrong when he won the 2003 Tour de France) and signed lithograph commemorating his 5th Tour de France victory
*A signed Lance Armstrong black bicycle helmet
*A signed, framed Discovery Team jersey and a signed, framed US Postal Team Jersey, both featuring Armstrong
*Two signed, framed yellow jerseys, photos, and commemorative pieces – in a range of prices.
The charitable auction is open for bidding now until July 25. Winning bids are gifts to the BikeTexas Education Fund, portions of which are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Half the net proceeds will go to the ASCO Cancer Foundation, and winners will be acknowledged as Foundation donors.
