Southern California resident Jeff Figler has been an avid collector for decades. He owns one of fewer than 75 examples of the T206 Honus Wagner that are believed to exist. He owns every Topps set, including the 1952 with Mickey Mantle. Rare cards, autographed baseballs and thousands of other items are all part of his collection. He also serves as a sports memorabilia appraiser.
Figler moved to San Diego in the 1970s where he became a Chargers season ticket holder and added plenty of team memorabilia to his own personal Hall of Fame.
The Bolts’ move to their original home in Los Angeles this month brought the San Diego Union-Tribune out for a visit where he showed off some of his rarer Charger items, the Wagner and other material and talked collecting.
