We’re probably less than two months away from Manti Te’o football cards.
SA-GE Collectibles announced Monday night that it had signed the linebacker to a trading card deal that will include autographed cards.
The Heisman Trophy finalist, who has been at the center of a bizarre story involving a hoax that involved a girlfriend who didn’t actually exist, will appear along with other future NFL draft picks in the company’s annual set, due out early this spring.
SA-GE, Leaf and Press Pass produce the first football cards of players who have left college and are awaiting the draft. The cards include autographs of some of the players and are the first paid trading card deals the players typically sign.
No word on how much Te’o or the other players who SA-GE has already signed will be paid for the use of their likeness and signature.
Along with Te’o, SA-GE has also recently come to terms with fellow Heisman finalist Collin Klein of Kansas State, USC quarterback Matt Barkley and Alabama lineman Barrett Jones.
