The Negro Leagues Museum is getting a nice boost from Geddy Lee’s own baseball memorabilia collection.
Man can not live by rock alone.
Baseball fanatics abound in the world of music. From Meat Loaf to Kevin Cronin to Billy Corgan, you’ll find no shortage of rockers who spend time watching games and reading about them.
A few months ago, we brought you a story about Rush singer/bassist Geddy Lee, who is not only a fan but a big-time collector.
When Rush played Kansas City recently, he stopped in to tour the Negro Leagues Museum. Duly impressed, Lee dipped into his stash and made a generous donation–over 200 autographed baseballs featuring players from the Negro Leaguers.
"I was just so impressed and so emotional about the stories this museum tells," Lee told MLB.com as the Museum announced the arrival of the collection.
