Robert Edward Auctions opened its February Encore event on Thursday with nearly 2,800 items in an online catalog that spans from Old Judge to Aaron Judge.
The auction is highlighted by a selection of iconic cards dating back to the 19th century, with highlights that include a 1934 R320 Goudey #37 Lou Gehrig and a 1948-1949 Leaf #3 Babe Ruth, both graded PSA EX-MT 6.
Bidding for a PSA 5 M116 Sporting Life Honus Wagner rocketed to $17,000 in the first few hours of bidding.
The auction includes several other cards from the series, including Ty Cobb, Frank Chance and Chief Bender, all with blue backgrounds and PSA 2 grades.

Assortment of T206 Advertising Backs
The auction includes more than 900 different T206 examples, many of which have desirable advertising backs, including 89 Sovereigns, 41 Cycle, thirteen American Beauty, eight Carolina Brights, and seven Brown Hindu.

The auction will run through Sunday, February 18 on REA’s website with all initial bids due by 9 PM ET in order to qualify for extended bidding.
