They’re not using Roman numerals this time. It’s Super Bowl ‘50’…a nice, round number that you’ve probably already seen in promotional images and videos. It’s the big game’s biggest anniversary yet and sports memorabilia companies will be taking advantage of it. 
Hunt Auctions will again partner with the NFL on the annual Super Bowl auction, held in San Francisco this year the day before the game. Gale Sayers’ career collection will be among the highlights.
Goldin Auctions is collecting consignments for its own big event and there will be more to come.
It’s all caught the attention of the Robb Report, which carried a three-page spread on the collectors and the memorabilia that commemorate the country’s biggest one-day sporting event.
