Some retirees enjoy their hobby once they step away from the work-a-day world. For Joseph Albanese of Belvidere, New York, that hobby is a business, too.
At age 84, he’s still at it. Buying, selling and trading from a shop in his hometown. He owns over 3500 autographed pieces in his inventory–and carries other unique pieces as well.
"I retired from the automobile business after 40 years and I didn’t want to quit working," Albanese told the local paper in a recent feature story.
Baseball memorabilia is his game, but baseball itself is his passion. He’s got an encyclopedic mind for players and games.
