OK, so it’s not like finding a stack of uncut 1957 Topps sheets under the floor, but one Ohio woman was pleasantly surprised to find a few 1952 Topps while removing some baseboards from her house.
We all have the dream. Uncovering a long-forgotten stash of baseball cards in an attic or wedged in some tiny space by little fingers years ago. A miniature time capsule we can’t wait to brag about. Usually it’s just that. A dream.
One Marietta, Ohio woman may not have had the dream, but she’s had the experience. Elisha Lawhorn was removing the last of the old baseboards from her home during a remodeling project when out popped a few early 1950s cards.
We’re not quite sure what the newspaper is using for a price guide here–and we’re betting there are no 9s–but it’s a cool story nonetheless.
