Viewers of Fox Business News got a look at some of the items in the current Robert Edward Auctions catalog on Monday morning.
REA’s Brian Dwyer offered a show and tell of some of the big ticket pieces in the auction, which opened October 5 and runs through the 28th including a T206 Cobb with Cobb Tobacco back; a high-grade Babe Ruth-Lou Gehrig signed baseball, an unopened box of 1958 Topps football cards (REA sold one last fall for $156,000), a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle and more.
As of now, the PSA 6 Mantle tops bidding at $95,000 with the T206 Cobb (PSA 1) at $85,000 and an extremely rare 1917 H801-8 Boston Store card of Ruth (SGC 40) at $85,000.
That ’52 Mantle has been tucked away for a long time and the consignor is about to enjoy a big payday.
