Over 300 lots of unopened products join vintage and modern cards, autographs and game-worn material inside the new Collect Auctions catalog, which has been making its way to mailboxes around the world.
In all, over 1,200 lots are in the catalog.
The auction opens the only 1916 D381 Fleischmann Bakery Casey Stengel card with tab ever graded by PSA. Ferguson Bakery of Boston each issued black-and-white, 104-card sets that year. Each card comes with a coupon tab at the bottom. Customers were encouraged to remove the tabs and those who sent in 100 would get an album to hold their cards. The Stengel card in the auction has been graded 2.
He’d go on to become best known as a manager but 106 years ago, he was an outfielder for Brooklyn. The front of the card lists his name as “C.D. Stengel.”
The auction also includes vintage sets and near sets including those from the 1950s and 60s including a high-grade 1969 Topps Super Glossy issue, a 1948 Bowman basketball near set, 1955 Topps and Bowman baseball sets, 1957, ’58, ’59 and ’65 Topps baseball sets and a 1960 Leaf Baseball set including high numbers.
There are 18 pages of vending and wax boxes, sealed case and graded packs, headlined by a 1973 Topps 5th Series Baseball box, a 1975 Topps 1st and 2nd series vending box, a 1975 Topps Baseball cello box, 1976 Topps Baseball vending box, a 1986 Topps Football cello box and unopened packs from 1967-up.
