It was a busy morning for the Topps NOW crew. The company cranked out ten new cards by early afternoon, including individual cards for the three newest Hall of Famers and other issues commemorative the latest member of the 3,000 hit club.
Tim Raines, Jeff Bagwell and Ivan Rodriguez are featured on base cards with photos from Sunday’s induction ceremony at Cooperstown. All three are adorned with a logo of the teams they represent in the Hall which brought the red, white and blue Montreal Expos insignia back to the forefront. It’s in the lower right corner of Raines’ card.
All are $9.99 each or less in quantity and available until early Tuesday afternoon on the Topps website.
Topps also honored Beltre’s milestone achievement in Texas with not just a $9.99 base card, but autographed versions that include five parallels. Those numbered to 199 were $69.99 with a 1/1 signed parallel at $1499.99 and the others falling somewhere in between. The autograph cards sold out shortly after release.
It’s the first time in more than a decade Beltre’s autograph will be featured on a Topps card, but it won’t be the last. Topps has signed an autographed deal with Beltre that will put more signed cards into upcoming products.
Topps NOW cards issued Monday also included several other moments from Sunday including Kyle Farmer’s first big league hit, a game-winner for the Dodgers against arch-rival San Francisco.
As always, the print run of the base Topps NOW cards will be limited to just the number of cards sold.
