PWCC Marketplace is now providing vaulting, appraisal and other tools for authenticated sports memorabilia including game-worn jerseys, unopened wax boxes and other items.
The company will take high resolution of items stored in its Oregon vault and make them available to users. Appraisal services and immediate access to multiple marketplaces are among the other advantages it is highlighting.
The company has also added collectable video games, comics, coins and currency to its vault platform.
Like its trading card vault service, which was launched four years ago, the memorabilia vault is located near the company’s headquarters in Oregon – a sales tax-free state – where clients can securely archive their assets and access them digitally via web or app.
PWCC says it has “invested in innovative technology and hired industry experts in their respective fields to help implement platform changes that cater to the needs of new collectible assets.”
The company’s new Manager of Memorabilia will be Nick Cepero, who joins the company from Heritage Auctions where he had been working as a consignment director in their sports division.
“The most apparent changes include our new 360-degree imaging studios and software updates that provide up-to-date valuation of assets in a client’s portfolio,” says PWCC’s Jesse Craig. “Still, the most critical additions come from the experts who are joining our team.”
Collectors Holdings (PSA parent company), eBay, Beckett and Alt are among the other companies who have launched trading card vault platforms.
