Autograph marketing specialist MAB Celebrity Services has signed Ivan Rodriguez to its current roster of clients for the marketing of sports memorabilia and personal appearances.
One of the best catchers in baseball history, Rodriguez played for the Texas Rangers, Florida Marlins, Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, Houston Astros and Washington Nationals during his long career.
Rodriguez won the 1999 American League Most Valuable Player Award and holds the record for most games caught by a catcher. Rodriguez compiled 2,844 hits, .296 batting average, 311 home runs and 1331 runs batted in. He was named to 14 All Star games and was regarded as the best defensive catcher of his era, winning 13 Gold Glove Awards.
On April 23, 2012 he signed a one day contract with the Texas Rangers and retired from a storied career which will one day end with an induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
