The 2019-2020 Tim Hortons hockey cards are back for a fifth straight season.
In conjunction with NHL trading card partner Upper Deck, “Timmies” has launched the annual in-store promotion at its Canadian stores that offers special packs of cards for $1 with the purchase of a beverage or $1.99 without.
2019-20 Tim Hortons Hockey Cards Details
This season, there are 43 more cards to collect than in 2018. Among the highlights:
- 87 Sidney Crosby autograph cards
- 100 Nathan MacKinnon autograph cards
- 2,029 autographed cards in all
- 8,116 NHL jersey relic cards with current players in throwback jerseys
- 150 NHL autographed memorabilia cards
- 100 autographed Timbits cards featuring Montreal Canadiens star Brendan Gallagher
Crosby and Nathan McKinnon are again involved in the marketing campaign for the set with TV ads set to air across Canada and other elements planned as well.
“As a kid, collecting and trading hockey cards contributed to my love for the game,” he stated. “Nate and I are excited to inspire budding hockey players across Canada by not just having special cards to collect, but also by being part of this year’s television ad. This spot is our favorite by far because Bob Cole, legendary announcer from Hockey Night in Canada, provided the voiceover.”
The base set is produced on foil stock and consists of 120 cards with 34 of them having a Red Parallel version that’s printed with rounded corners.
Inserts include: Historic Game Day Action, Key Season Events (moments from last season), Highly Decorated, Gold Etchings, Clear Cut Phenoms (acetate stock) and Franchise Duos (lenticular stock).
Because of the large number of packs produced, the autograph and relic cards have historically been difficult to pull.

Once again, there’s a special binder you can purchase for $15.99.
While the promotion is only available in Canada, Tim Hortons cards inevitably wind up on eBay. You can see what’s already listed by clicking here.
