PSA will be giving away over $6,000 in prizes during this summer’s National Sports Collectors Convention at the IX Center in Cleveland.
Collectors who enter the annual sweepstakes online or at the PSA booth in Cleveland will be eligible to win a 1949 Bowman #27 Bob Feller card graded PSA Near Mint-Mint 8, valued at $500; a LeBron James signed basketball from Upper Deck Authenticated, valued at $2,000; and a Topps Jim Brown rookie card, graded PSA Near Mint 7, valued at $4,000. Winners will be announced each day of the sweepstakes at 4 PM EDT. The Feller card will be given away on Thursday, August 2, the basketball on Friday, August 3 and the Brown card on Saturday, August 4.
As always, the PSA booth (#169) will be providing on-site authentication, grading and encapsulation for all items except for tickets and packs. To receive access to PSA’s special “Express Line” at the show, collectors can use use the online submission center to place orders prior to visiting the booth. Those who take advantage of online submissions will also have access to giveaways of PSA hats and PSA card mats on a first-come, first-served basis. PSA Customer Service will be accepting any take-home trading card and autograph authentication submissions for all levels of service.
Again this year, collectors will have a chance to take home a free encapsulated trading card…of themselves. The company will have a photographer on site to grab a shot of you as you don either a Cleveland Cavaliers jersey with basketball in hand or sporting a Cleveland Indians jersey while holding a bat.
“Last year’s custom encapsulated card option was such a big success in Chicago that we are excited to bring the experience to collectors and sports fans in Cleveland too,” said PSA Vice President Steve Sloan.
In addition, visitors to the PSA booth can score free PSA merchandise by “checking in” on social media. Collectors are encouraged to follow @PSAcard on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for promotional details. Representatives at the trading card photo booth can provide giveaway details. Prizes include PSA caps, t-shirts, breaker mats and common PSA-graded cards while supplies last.
