eBay has announced it will no longer allow sellers who keep their feedback private to list items.
October 26 will be "D" day for eBay users who choose not to make their feedback record public. "D" as in "Dead"…which is what any private feedback listings will be on that date.
The on-line auction giant says: "Buyers should have all the information available about their prospective sellers’ past trading histories. This helps them make knowledgeable choices about doing business with that seller. Prohibiting members with private Feedback profiles from listing items will ensure we help maintain a safe and well-lit marketplace."
