2016 Panini Prime Cuts Baseball is evidence the company will continue to pump out baseball products—even higher priced autograph and relic-focused products. Due out Wednesday and making its return after a few years on the bench, Prime Cuts offers five cards per pack—each one a hit.
Prime Cuts isn’t cheap. Out of the gate, boxes are selling for around $230-$240 per box.
It’s a mix of old and new. There are on-card autos of 2016 rookies including dual and triple swatch versions but also relics and cut autographs from Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Lou Gehrig and Roberto Clemente among others.
Book cards include Rookie Autographs, Jumbo Material, Rookie Autographs Silhouette Combo Materials, Prime Six Signatures and Prime Eight Signatures.
