Custodian by day. Super collector by night. Mt. Pleasant, PA hockey nut Jeff Miller has been through the bad times and the good with his Pittsburgh Penguins and his massive collection can tell both stories.

The 41-year-old has built one of the most impressive team collections you’ll ever see, now taking up two rooms in his home—and part of a third.
There are 660 players who have suited up for Pittsburgh at one time or another. Miller has a a stick from all about about 110 of them.
And that’s just the start. He’s also got hundreds of thousands of hockey cards (yes, you read that right), huge stacks of game programs and more.
“You name it, it’s here,” he told the Pittsburgh Tribune for this story, as a reporter and photographer ventured into the abyss to get a look at his impressive hoard—and chat with him about why being a collector today is sometimes a little more difficult.
