After being forced to another location by last year’s flooding, the tri-annual Philly Show will return to the newly renovated 54,000 square-foot Valley Forge Casino Convention Center March 1-3.
The Philly Show remains one of the oldest shows in the country with roots dating back to the mid-1970s when it was run by the Eastern Pennsylvania Sports Collectors Club.
With the convention center having undergone a full renovation show organizers say they are excited to be “back at home” where the show has resided for the past ten years. The show boasts 50,000 plus square feet of space. Along with dozens of dealers who will offer all kinds of vintage and modern era cards, autographs and memorabilia, it’s a regular stop of some of the hobby’s leading auction houses and authentication companies.
Show hours are Friday, March 1 from 2 PM – 8 PM; Saturday, March 2 from 9 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, March 3 from 9 AM – 3 PM.
Tickets are $8 per day or $18 for a weekend pass.
Several prominent members of the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles are scheduled to sign autographs including Alshon Jeffery, Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, LeGarrette Blount. Also appearing will be Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame Safety Brian Dawkins and current NFL WR DeSean Jackson as well as a group of 2008 World Series champion Phillies including Joe Blanton, Kyle Kendrick and Brett Myers.
Former baseball superstars Andre Dawson, Daryl Strawberry and Dale Murphy will be signing autographs and taking pictures during the weekend as well.
