One of the hobby’s largest regular shows is being pushed back. The March edition of the Philly Show, originally scheduled for next month at the Valley Forge Convention Center, has been postponed because of construction delays. The Convention Center has experienced delays with the construction of a new casino on the grounds and according to the show’s sponsor, Hunt Auctions, it won’t be ready in time to host the card/autograph show.
The new date for the spring Philly Show is June 8-10.
Hunt Auctions took over the long-running twice yearly event a few years ago. Several autograph guests were scheduled to appear at the March show and the company is working to finalize details on who will appear on the new date.
The fall show will go on in November as planned.
When it’s completed in about five weeks, the casino will have around 600 slot machines and 50 table games – including blackjack, craps, roulette, and Pai Gow Poker.
