He’s out of action for awhile, but that gave Minnesota Vikings rookie Adrian Peterson the chance to hook up with the Pro Football Hall of Fame and hand over his record-breaking goods.
A 296-yard rushing performance against the San Diego Chargers removed what few doubters remained. Adrian Peterson is the real deal.
He’s now made his mark in the Pro Football Hall of Fame after setting the new NFL record. The Hall’s Vice President of Communications/Exhibitions Joe Horrigan was at the Vikings’ training camp Thursday to accept some of Peterson’s game-used equipment from that amazing day. The uniform has been guarded by the team’s equipment staff since the Nov. 4 game.
Horrigan also answered questions about the kind of memorabilia the Canton shrine looks for while Peterson was overwhelmed by the fact that his stuff was Hall-worthy.
