Pete Rose has consigned several awards and milestone baseballs to Goldin’s current auction.
Among them are his 1975 World Series MVP player trophy,1980 Phillies World Series player trophy, his 1969 and 1973’ Louisville Slugger Silver bats for winning the National League batting title in each year, an NL batting championship plaque from the same season, his 1968 Fred Hutchinson Award and 1969 Lou Gehrig Memorial award.
Some milestone baseballs, marked with Rose’s handwriting from the time, are being offered as well including baseballs from late in his 44-game hitting streak in 1978, his 2700th hit and 500th career double.
There are 27 items, all accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Rose.
Goldin’s December Elite Auction is currently open and the items will be available for bidding through December 30.

Two PSA 8 rookie cards of Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays sold for nearly $580,000 combined over the weekend in Mile High Card Company’s latest auction.
A 1916 M101-4 Sporting News #87 Joe Jackson (Blank Back) PSA 7 sold for $104,302, over four times the previous record price of $25,000.
Other sales included a 1934 Goudey #61 Lou Gehrig PSA 8 fetching $101,623 and a 1953 Topps #82 Mickey Mantle PSA 8 ($89,635).
Several vintage Willie Stargell cards set new records including a 1964 Topps PSA 10 that moved the record price from $4,154 to $30,674 and a 1966 PSA 10 that also set a new record at $36,406.
A 1962 Topps Brooks Robinson went for more than eight times the previous high when it netted $30,391.

The Tom Brady autographed SuperFractor pulled last week by Triple Diamond Sports Cards in Eegan, MN is on its way to be authenticated and graded.
The collector who pulled it–and another Brady baseball card from 2023 Bowman Draft–is still in a bit of shock according to the store.

The New Orleans Saints and MeiGray Group have signed a multi-year agreement that will offer collectors fully authenticated game-used and game-worn jerseys, game-used helmets, and game-used footballs from the Saints’ 2023 NFL season.
“We are delighted to become a proud partner of the Saints,” said MeiGray Group President Barry Meisel. “With the NFC South up for grabs, we’re all in on New Orleans to win the division. And we’re proud to become the collecting hobby’s source for the Saints’ game-worn memorabilia.”
