Panini America’s Immaculate football returns with high-end hits like autographs, patches, shields and even eye black pieces. The 2016 version is slate to be released early this fall.
A hobby box will contain six cards, and five of them will be either autograph cards, memorabilia, or a combination of both. The base set will consist of 100 cards, with gold parallels numbered to five and 1/1 platinum parallels — but collectors will not be buying this product for the commons, or even the hard-
to-find parallels.
Autograph cards will be hard-signed and will include Signature Moves, Immaculate Rings and Immaculate Moments. The latter insert set, which includes 100 cards, is numbered to 25 or less and contains autographs that celebrate the top moments of NFL superstars — past and present.
Premium Patch autographs combine on-card signatures with generous memorabilia swatches. They will be numbered to 99 and less, and lucky collectors will pull an NFL Shield variation. Signature Moves will be an insert set with cards numbered 25 or less. This subset will showcase how the NFL’s top stars celebrate.
Rookie Patch autographs will highlight the biggest names from the 2016 NFL draft, and there will be Tag and Shield parallels numbered 1/1.
There’s more memorabilia with Immaculate Logos. This insert will feature swatches from team logos.
A new entry this year is Immaculate Eye Blacks. Imagine a player signing a clump of the stuff used to block out the sun from under a guy’s eyes, and you’ll get the idea. There also will be a 1/1 gold ink parallel. Veterans, rookies and retired players will be part of this subset.
Other relics collectors may find in 2016 Panini Immaculate Football include Jersey Numbers, Laundry Tags, Rookie Soles. Dual NFL Shield cards will be 1/1s and will pair a 2016 rookie with a retired player; and there also will be Immaculate Duals and Immaculate Trios autograph cards.
