The Texas offices of Panini America were broken into and offices damaged over the holiday weekend.
Irving Police say officers were dispatched Monday afternoon to the 5300 block of FAA Boulevard to respond to a burglary report.
A source tells us an unknown number of suspects entered the building through a business next door sometime Sunday, apparently without setting off alarms.
A police report states that Panini’s interior offices sustained thousands of dollars in damage. The company’s computer systems were knocked offline and remain down.
Police told Panini officials to make a list of items that were missing. As of late Wednesday morning, a spokesman tells SC Daily they were still waiting on that report and the investigation is still underway. Officers were hoping to review surveillance video to gather information.
No suspects have been arrested at this point.
Security officers were seen outside the facility on Wednesday.
Panini’s offices will be closed for the remainder of the week as the company’s IT team works to get its systems back online.
Customer service phone lines are temporarily inoperable as well and the company is telling customers to utilize its website for communications.
