The card company that brought you the metal briefcase as an unopened box is bringing its ultra high-end brand to another sport. Originally slated to arrive in late September, 2014 Panini Flawless Football is now scheduled for a Halloween arrival with ten cards per briefcase, seven of which are autographed and one of which will be a real diamond or emerald.
Two memorabilia cards are also included in each briefcase, which sold for $1,250 when it debuted as an NBA product last year.
Every card in 2014 Flawless Football will be numbered to 25 or less.
Rookie cards, current stars and retired greats will make up the product checklist which includes a base Platinum set numbered to 20 with each card holding a diamond. The Emerald parallels are numbered to five.
Jumbo Patch Autographs, Rookie Autographs, Patches and Rookie Patch Autographs will be part of the mix.
So far, Panini has showcased cards signed by Peyton Manning, Joe Namath, Michael Irvin, Jordy Nelson, Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick, Bruce Smith and a few others.
