Panini America will be rolling out a basketball product in May that will be familiar to hockey fans.
Dominion, which debuted as a hockey product in 2011-2012, is introducing a similar issue for basketball. Set for a May 16 release, a hobby box will contain one pack, with six cards per pack. Each pack will have three autographs, one relic card and a metal rookie card.
On-card autographs will be a consistent feature, although preview material did show some sticker autos as well.
Main Exhibit Legends autographs will feature rookies, veterans and NBA legends in acetate shadowboxes. Rookie Jersey Autographs will also feature gold and platinum parallels. Peerless signature cards will include autographs and relics.
With Authority! autographed memorabilia cards put an exclamation point on those players who are capable rattling the rim. In a similar vein, Power Player signature/memorabilia cards showcase the top frontcourt players in the NBA — today and from the past.
There are plenty of multi-player cards with signatures. NBA Champion Dual Signatures pays tribute to some of the great league squads of the past and features a pair of autographs. Franchise Favorite Dual Signatures features top stars from different eras, while Rookie Dual Signatures features two first-year player autographs.
There are cards with three autographs (Triple Threat Trio Signatures) and four (Rookie Quad Signatures.
On the memorabilia side, the aptly named Mammoth cards will contain jumbo swatches.
