It’s been a busy year for Baseball Card Exchange. The northwest Indiana company is one of the hobby’s major buyers of sports cards and memorabilia, traveling coast-to-coast in its efforts to purchase collections of old cards, shop inventories and more. They also opened a retail store. At the National Sports Collectors Convention in Cleveland, the company expanded its presence with a huge booth featuring a seven-figure inventory.
The company is the hobby’s largest dealer of vintage unopened packs, boxes and cases–eye candy for those who walked past hundreds of long-lost products this week, including a possible one-of-a-kind box of 1960 Nu-Card Highlights, rack and wax packs ranging from a 1954 Topps baseball nickel pack to a $95,000 1980-81 OPC Hockey case.
The market for vintage unopened packs, boxes and cases seems almost insatiable. We caught up with Reed Kasaoka of BBCE who discussed the market and the company’s NSCC presence.
You can see BBCE and PSA authenticated boxes and packs on eBay here.
BBCE also has over 2,000 items in its online eBay store which you can see here.
