The National Sports Collectors Convention is once again hosting an auction benefitting the Ronald McDonald House.
Thanks to donations from collectors, dealers and others, the auction is an effort to raise money for families needing to stay close to a hospitalized child. So far, the auction includes autographed items from Don Mattingly, Bobby Hull, Emmitt Smith, John Madden, Anthony Davis, Hakeem Olajuwon, Patrick Kane and Yogi Berra, among others. Cubs and White Sox game-used lineup cards are also up for grabs but organizers hope to add a lot more items between now and the close of the auction.
Bids can be made online or via the Handbid smartphone app and they’re hoping to add items to the auction.
Collectors and businesses who would like to donate an item can do so by sending it directly to:

Items donated don’t have to be authenticated. NSCC Communications Director Ray Schulte says Beckett Authentication and JSA will waive their fees for donated auction items.
The Ronald McDonald House of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana and HandBid will be on-site at the show, sharing exhibitor booths in the NSCC corporate area. Exhibitors and show attendees can visit the auction table and donate collectible items during the event, which is scheduled to close Saturday, August 3 at 9 P.M. E.T.
