Not that long ago, it was unusual to find anyone using a smart phone at the National Sports Collectors Convention. Now, show organizers have announced the availability of a mobile app for the hobby’s biggest show.
The free online app, operated through Whova, has detailed information including a schedule of events, a map of the show floor, sponsor list, exhibitor list, autograph schedule and other features. It’s available in the App Store and in Google Play.
You can plan meetings with attendees who have added their names to the list, scan and swap business cards, send in-app messages, get updates and directions. The best feature might be the ability to see the names of the dealer booths in order as they are set up on the floor of the Stephens Convention Center.
Following your download (which can be done here with your phone), sign up on Whova using your email address or your social media accounts. Then search for the 36th National Sports Collectors Convention in ‘Events’. If you are asked to enter an event passcode when accessing the event, use: nscc.
Even if you’re not going to the show, you can still download the app to see what’s happening and who’s attending.
