There’s a new record price for a Victor Wembanyama rookie card.
The 1-1 Panini Prizm First Off the Line Black Shimmer sold via PWCC Marketplace late Thursday night for $516,000.
The card was pulled by a breaker in China two months ago and graded 9 by PSA before being put on the market. It’s by far the biggest price for a Wembanyama rookie card so far.

You’ve probably seen this 1947 photo of Jackie Robinson, with young Brooklyn Dodgers fans on the day he made his historic debut.

If you collected baseball cards in the 1970s, you know this one.
Topps didn’t typically go too far outside the box back then, but Joe Garagiola’s brainstorm idea to hold an MLB-wide bubble gum blowing contest among players was a big enough hit that it spawned its own card in the 1976 set.
The card featured the measurement of a bubble blown by Kurt Bevacqua of the Milwaukee Brewers, who won the televised finale.
Bevacqua recently spoke with MLB TV’s Carded about the contest and the card. Check out the video.
