Topps Triple Threads Baseball was supposed to be out this week but the entire run has been recalled over a packaging issue. We’ve been told the boxes were never shrink-wrapped.
Triple Threads’ original release date was Wednesday. On Monday, the company sent out an email stating it would be delayed until Friday, September 16 but later confirmed it wouldn’t be reaching stores or online dealers by that date either.
A new release date has yet to be determined.

Upper Deck has a new autograph deal with Allen Iverson. The company announced Tuesday it had created a “premium autograph collection” commemorating the career of former Philadelphia 76ers point guard and new Hall-of-Famer.
Over the course of his NBA career, Iverson earned four scoring titles, 11 trips to the NBA All-Star Game, two All-Star Game MVP’s and the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award.
“Iverson left an indelible mark on the culture of the game, one that resonates with today’s generation of players just as much as it did when he made his NBA debut in 1996,” said Jason Masherah, President of Upper Deck.
Among the items Iverson has signed is a a 36” x 15” signed “Philly’s Finest” image which captures many of Iverson’s basketball talents against a city skyline backdrop and a piece entitled ‘The Show’ that features a three-foot wide Iverson autograph.
Iverson has also signed 30 pairs of his well-known ‘Question’ shoes along with signed basketballs, jerseys and other items. Prices start at $400.
