Topps has offered the first look at the cards that were created with the game-worn MLB Debut patches that were instituted at the beginning of the season. Players who appeared in a big league uniform for the first time wore the patches, which were then removed from the jersey and sent to Fanatics/Topps to create 1/1 trading cards.

Players who debuted during the first two months of the season will have their patches on cards that will be randomly inserted into packs of 2023 Topps Chrome Update, which is set for release on Nov. 15.

The odds of pulling one, of course, will be long. According to Topps, they’re packed in one of every 3,514 Hobby boxes and in every 1,142 Jumbos. They’ll also be possible in blaster boxes, but the odds will be longer.
Hobby boxes of 2023 Topps Chrome Update are selling for around $140-$150 on eBay with Jumbos at about $350.
