Panini released a basketball product on Monday morning. 2019-20 Select “Hybrid” basketball is an offshoot of the previously released Select product. It was available only as an online exclusive beginning at 11 AM Eastern time and sold out Dutch Auction-style with the most patient buyers snaring them for $364-$410 per box.
Each box holds four six-card packs and Panini promised six Prizms per box. There is no autograph guaranteed, but they are part of the product.
The big selling point are Disco Prizms shown here which are found throughout Select Hybrid including the Rookie Jersey Autographs (# to 25), Jersey Autographs (#’d/25 or less), Gold (#’d/10), and Black (#’d/1).
The Disco style is also found in the Concourse, Premier, and Courtside base cards, with all numbered to 49 or less.
If you missed out and are willing to pay a little more, some boxes have found their way to eBay.

Fanatics has an autograph deal with Zion Williamson and the company is offering signed tickets from his NBA debut earlier this year.
For $1,199, you get his full name signature rather than the “Zion W” moniker you get with his trading cards. A few inscribed versions quickly sold out on Monday but a few of the others were still available as of Monday night.

Trading card release update: It appears Upper Deck’s O-Pee-Chee Platinum will indeed arrive on schedule April 15 and Credentials hockey also remains on the docket with a release date of April 29.

CNBC reported from Cooperstown, where visitor traffic will obviously be minimal for quite some time and this year’s Induction Weekend may be postponed. Hobby shops and other area businesses are feeling the pinch.
