Collectors and exhibitors heading to the 39th National Sports Collectors Convention can now book their hotel rooms through the NSCC. Once again, Conference Housing is serving as the National’s booking agent with discounted rooms available.
The 2018 show is scheduled for Cleveland’s I-X Center August 1-5. Unlike other venues that have hosted the facility in recent years, there are no hotels within walking distance. Conference Housing and the NSCC list ten hotels, several within a few miles of the show site with prices ranging from $110-$159 per night. Most have complimentary shuttle service to and from the I-X Center.
The show opens Wednesday, August 1 with the annual ‘Sneak Peek’ from 3:30-8 PM.

Topps packed each of the 87 boxes of its $27,000 Transcendent baseball product issued with an invitation to a private dinner and reception in Atlanta where attendees would get to meet Hank Aaron and obtain some more free, exclusive cards. That party took place Tuesday night.
No outside memorabilia could be brought in for Aaron to sign; Topps provided a special Transcendent card for guests. He spoke to the audience from a chair.
